Music producer and Mavin Records founder, Don Jazzy, has opened up about how repeated rejection from girls during his secondary school years affected his self-confidence.
Speaking on the Keeping It Real With Jima podcast, the renowned music executive revealed that he battled low self-esteem as a teenager because many girls he admired did not find him attractive.
According to Don Jazzy, the experience left a lasting emotional impact, prompting him to later search for some of the girls who had turned him down after he became successful in the entertainment industry.
He explained that the decision was not driven by revenge or resentment, but by a desire to confront past insecurities and gain emotional closure from experiences that had shaped his younger years.
The Mavin Records boss disclosed that by the time he reconnected with many of the women, most of them were already married and had moved on with their lives.
Don Jazzy said the encounters ultimately helped him heal, allowing him to let go of old feelings and better appreciate his personal growth and journey to success.
