President Bola Tinubu has dismissed opposition voices as βnoise-makers,β insisting he remains focused on governance and unshaken by political criticism.
Speaking during a meeting with leaders of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the State House, Abuja, the President said attempts to intimidate him would fail, noting that his political journey has prepared him for the challenges of leadership.
βThey want to scare me off? It is a lie. I have been through this path before,β Tinubu said, recalling the tough primary and general election processes that led to his emergence in 2023.
The delegation was led by Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who also serves as Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
Tinubu stressed his commitment to democratic principles, particularly respect for the rule of law and the judiciary, warning against what he described as disregard for lawful court orders.
βWe must embrace the judiciary whether it favours us or not. That is the foundation of democracy,β he said.
He urged members of the All Progressives Congress to remain united, adding that the party must resist forces opposed to national progress and reform.
The President also took a swipe at former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, questioning the outcomes of privatisation exercises carried out during his tenure as Chairman of the National Council on Privatisation.
Tinubu cited examples such as the Ajaokuta Steel Company, arguing that some of the privatised entities have failed to deliver expected results.
Reaffirming his administrationβs agenda, the President said his focus remains on tackling poverty, strengthening democracy and building national unity.
He assured supporters that he would not abandon his responsibilities, promising to deliver on his commitments to Nigerians.
Tinubu also disclosed that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors have been mobilised to support the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
