Rivers Women Rally Support For Fubara, Preach Hope

Rivers Women Unite for SIM (RWUS) has urged women in Rivers State to remain steadfast and unwavering in faith despite the prevailing political and economic challenges confronting the country.

The group made the call during its monthly thanksgiving gathering held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, with the theme, “Beyond The Storm.”

RWUS encouraged women across the state not to allow temporary difficulties distract them from supporting peace, unity and continued progress in Rivers State.

The women group commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for what it described as his maturity, developmental strides and people-oriented programmes across the state.

According to the group, RWUS remains an interfaith organisation committed to continuous prayers and intercession for peace, stability and advancement in Rivers State and Nigeria in line with Governor Fubara’s policy direction.

The group also urged women not to become discouraged during difficult times but to remain hopeful and steadfast in faith, expressing confidence that situations would improve.

RWUS reaffirmed its support for Governor Fubara, describing him as a leader committed to development and the welfare of Rivers people.

The group further pledged continued support for the governor’s “Rivers First” mantra as his administration continues to deliver democratic dividends to the people.

RWUS also condemned the abduction of school children in parts of the country and called on security agencies to intensify efforts toward rescuing the victims and reuniting them with their families.

The statement was signed by the Communications Officer of Rivers Women Unite for SIM, Comrade Glory Sunday.
