The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has sealed two filling stations in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, over alleged under-dispensing of petrol to motorists.
The affected stations are MRS Filling Station and Stage Oil, located along Aba Road, near the Craft Centre.
Rain Oil, situated on Station Road, was also sanctioned for the same alleged offence but was not sealed.
The enforcement action is part of the authority’s efforts to curb sharp practices in the downstream petroleum sector, ensure accurate fuel measurements and protect consumers from exploitation.
The action underscores the need for petroleum marketers to comply with regulatory standards and ensure that motorists receive the exact quantity of fuel for which they pay.
