Moove, the global mobility company founded in Lagos, has announced plans to end its operations in Nigeria.

As part of its exit plan, the company said it would transfer full ownership of eligible vehicles worth approximately N35 billion to existing customers at no cost.

The affected customers will take ownership of the vehicles they have been using under Moove’s financing scheme, with no further payments required from October 1, 2026.

The company said the move was designed to conclude its Nigerian operations while ensuring that eligible customers retain the vehicles financed through its platform.

Moove was founded by Ladi Delano and Jide Odunsi and built its business around vehicle financing and mobility solutions for drivers.

The company launched in Nigeria about six years ago and expanded by financing vehicles for drivers, particularly those operating on ride-hailing platforms.

Under the ownership transfer arrangement, eligible customers will collectively receive vehicles valued at about N35 billion without making additional payments to Moove.

Moove, which operates as a global mobility fintech company, has expanded across several markets, offering vehicle financing and other mobility-related services.

The development comes weeks after another global mobility company, Uber, announced its exit from Nigerian operations.
