Reality TV star Phyna has defeated actress Nkechi Blessing in a celebrity boxing showdown, knocking her out in the fourth round to claim the championship belt and a brand-new car.
The fight, held in the early hours of Friday, October 2, 2026, was the climax of a tense rivalry that had generated considerable attention among fans and across social media.
The confrontation between the two entertainers had intensified during the build-up to the bout, with heated exchanges reportedly culminating in a physical altercation at a promotional event before organisers intervened.
The wider “Chaos in the Ring” event was also marked by drama, including a reported confrontation involving Carter Efe and Speed Darlington. A birthday cake was kicked to the ground, while firecrackers linked to Carter Efe’s entourage reportedly sparked a brief fire at the venue.
When Phyna and Nkechi Blessing finally entered the ring, the tension gave way to an action-packed contest.
Phyna, who was smaller and slimmer than her opponent, relied on speed and movement from the opening bell, darting around the ring and landing quick punches as she sought to frustrate Blessing.
Blessing responded aggressively in the second round, pressing forward and forcing Phyna into a series of frenetic exchanges as both fighters traded heavy punches.
The third round was more cautious, with neither fighter able to establish decisive control. Both landed punches, but the contest remained finely poised heading into the fourth.
The decisive moment came when the fighters engaged in another furious exchange.
Phyna found an opening and landed a telling punch that sent Blessing crashing to the canvas.
Blessing was unable to beat the referee’s count, bringing the bout to an end and handing Phyna a fourth-round knockout victory.
The reality TV star celebrated her triumph as she was presented with the championship belt.
Her reward did not end there, as one of the event’s promoters also presented her with a brand-new car for her victory.
Speaking after the fight, Phyna said the knockout was the culmination of a strategy she had deliberately executed throughout the contest.
According to her, she planned to “gas out” Blessing before making her move for the knockout, adding that she was pleased the strategy produced the desired result.
Rather than ending the night with her victory celebration, however, Phyna immediately turned her attention to another potential opponent.
She called out actress Etinosa and challenged her to a celebrity boxing bout.
Etinosa subsequently entered the ring and accepted the challenge, raising the possibility of another high-profile celebrity showdown.
The proposed contest has already been described as a battle between two Edo women, potentially extending the growing interest in Nigeria’s emerging celebrity boxing scene.
