President Bola Tinubu has celebrated his wife, Oluremi, on her 66th birthday, describing her as his “truest friend and confidante.”
In a tribute posted on his verified X handle on Monday, Tinubu praised the First Lady for her patience, courage, compassion and steadfast support throughout their years together.
The President said Oluremi had stood by him through various seasons of his life, sharing his burdens, offering counsel and remaining calm during difficult periods.
He described her as a virtuous woman whose faith, kindness and devotion had strengthened their family, adding that she had played a significant role in raising their children and grandchildren.
Tinubu also commended Oluremi’s humanitarian activities through the New Era Foundation and the Renewed Hope Initiative, saying her interventions had reached young people, widows, elderly citizens and women farmers across the country.
He further highlighted her advocacy for people affected by tuberculosis and other diseases, describing her as a compassionate advocate whose concern extended beyond ethnic, regional and religious boundaries.
Reflecting on their years together, the President said the challenges, sacrifices, prayers and decisions they had shared had strengthened their relationship.
Tinubu said that if he had the opportunity to relive his life, he would still choose the path that led him to Oluremi.
He wished the First Lady many more years of good health, happiness and fulfilment, saying, “Happy 66th birthday, my darling Oluremi.”
