President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed the Federal Government's support for Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) following a courtesy visit by the company's management and Board of Directors.
The visit strengthened the partnership between NLNG and the Federal Government and reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing Nigeria's economic growth, energy security and national development.
During the meeting, discussions focused on NLNG's contribution to government revenue and domestic gas supply.
The company also updated the President on its social investments, particularly the progress being made on the Bonny–Bodo Road project.
A major outcome of the meeting was renewed commitment to the completion of the NLNG Train 7 project.
Train 7 is expected to increase Nigeria's LNG production capacity, create jobs, boost export earnings and strengthen the country's position in the global LNG market.
NLNG said completing the project remains a top priority as it continues to create value from Nigeria's vast gas resources.
The visit underscored NLNG's commitment to supporting the Federal Government's efforts to drive economic diversification, infrastructure development and sustainable national growth.
