The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the resumption of its electronic membership registration exercise nationwide, scheduled to commence on August 31, 2026, as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The exercise will be conducted in all wards across the country, with existing members required to validate their membership while new and prospective members are expected to register through the digital platform.

The party disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, who urged party leaders, stakeholders, supporters and members to actively participate in the exercise.

According to Morka, the initiative is aimed at digitising the APC's membership register, improving the accuracy and integrity of membership records, and ensuring easier access to data for effective planning and decision-making.

He added that the electronic registration system would also promote internal democracy and reinforce the party's commitment to embracing technology-driven democratic processes.

The APC further stated that all prospective registrants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN) to be eligible for registration.
