President Bola Tinubu has constituted the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election, naming former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, as Director-General.

According to the list released on Saturday, President Tinubu will serve as Chairman of the Campaign Council, while Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, will serve as Vice Chairmen.

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, was named Secretary of the council, with APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, and Hadiza Bala-Usman serving as Deputy Secretary and Assistant Secretary, respectively.

The President also constituted an advisory team comprising Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Florence Ita Giwa.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni were appointed Deputy Directors-General for the campaign in the southern and northern regions.

Former Edo State Governor, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, will serve as Deputy Director-General for Mobilisation, while the President's Chief of Staff will oversee Administration as Deputy Director-General.

James Abiodun Faleke retained his role as Deputy Director-General for Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring, supported by zonal directors across the six geopolitical zones.

The legal directorate will be headed by Muiz Banire, with Dr. Liman Hassan and Babatunde Ogala serving as deputies, alongside other senior party members.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, was appointed Coordinating Director for Media and Strategic Communication, working with Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga, Lanre Issa-Onilu and other media strategists. Segun Dada was also retained as Director of New Media.

The campaign council also named Dele Alake, Alwan Hassan, Ayobami Oyalowo, Kemi Asekun-Shittu and Adamu Fanda as spokespersons.

President Tinubu charged members of the council to work towards securing victory for the APC in the January 2027 presidential election, urging them to highlight the administration's achievements and rally support across the country.

He expressed confidence that his administration had fulfilled key campaign promises, saying Nigeria was on the path to economic recovery and sustainable growth, while calling on party leaders to unite and expand the campaign beyond those formally listed in the council.
