The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) have strengthened their partnership to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in the public service.

Code of Conduct Tribunal Join Forces to Boost Integrity

Speaking during a meeting with the CCT leadership in Abuja, Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, said the Service remains committed to upholding the highest ethical standards, warning that the misconduct of one officer can damage the reputation of the entire organisation.

Launch Digital Asset Declaration

In a major reform, the CCT announced the completion of an online asset declaration platform, allowing public officers to declare their assets electronically without visiting its offices. The Tribunal also unveiled an online ethics learning platform and disclosed that Artificial Intelligence will be deployed to enhance asset verification.

The CCT urged public officers to declare their assets truthfully, warning that false or undeclared assets could attract legal consequences, including forfeiture.
