The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Rivers State, Johnson Alalibo, gave the assurance during the distribution of electoral materials at the headquarters of the Central Bank of Nigeria in Port Harcourt.

Alalibo stated that the materials had been properly secured and showed no signs of tampering, adding that they would be transported under strict security arrangements to the seven local government areas participating in the election.

He expressed confidence in the commission’s level of preparedness, noting that all necessary logistics and operational plans had been concluded to ensure a smooth and transparent electoral process.

He warned against any actions capable of undermining the exercise, assuring that the commission would work closely with security agencies to prevent disruptions and ensure a peaceful poll.
