Veteran Nollywood actor, Taofeek Salami, has recounted what he described as the most painful experience of his life, revealing that his late wife admitted during a court proceeding that two of their five children were not biologically his.
The actor, popularly known as Tioroju Mondusi, made the disclosure during an interview on the African A-List podcast, where he spoke about the circumstances that led to the collapse of his marriage.
According to Salami, the incident began when he returned from a movie location and discovered that his wife, who was heavily pregnant at the time, was missing from their home. He said repeated attempts to reach her proved unsuccessful until two days later, when she eventually answered his calls but declined to disclose her whereabouts.
The actor said he later visited his mother-in-law\'s residence to lodge a complaint and was shocked to discover evidence that his wife had allegedly undergone a traditional introduction ceremony with another man who was already married and had four children.
Salami alleged that when he confronted his wife over the discovery, she openly challenged his paternity of the pregnancy. He said the situation escalated after she gave birth and sought to hold the child\'s naming ceremony at his residence despite insisting that the baby was not his.
He explained that the disagreement eventually led to legal proceedings after his wife filed for the dissolution of their marriage.
According to the actor, it was during the court case that his wife admitted that both their third child and the youngest child were fathered by another man with whom she had allegedly maintained a long-term relationship.
Salami said the revelation left him devastated and remains the most painful betrayal he has experienced.
Reflecting on the episode, the actor expressed sadness over the turn of events, noting that his former wife later died after reportedly battling depression.
He claimed that the man she left him for eventually abandoned her and returned to his own family, leaving her to face the consequences of her decisions alone.
Despite the emotional trauma, Salami said he has moved on from the experience, while praying for God\'s forgiveness for his late wife.
