Court Remands Police Officers Over Alleged Killing of Musician OG Millan in Delta

A Delta State High Court has ordered the remand of a police officer, Usman Nuhu, who is accused of fatally shooting Oghenemine Mene Ogidi, a 28-year-old singer popularly known as OG Millan.

The incident, which occurred in the Effurun area of Delta State, sparked widespread public outrage after a video of the shooting surfaced on social media in April.

In the viral footage, the musician was seen seated on the ground with his hands tied behind his back with a rope while being restrained by an officer attached to the Delta State Police Command before he was allegedly shot.

The video generated intense reactions across the country, with many Nigerians demanding justice for the deceased and calling for the prosecution of the officer involved.

Following his arraignment, the court ordered that Usman Nuhu be remanded pending further proceedings in the case.

The matter is expected to continue as the court examines the circumstances surrounding the death of the young musician.
