Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool FC at the end of the season, bringing an end to his celebrated nine-year stay at Anfield.
In a statement released by the club, Liverpool confirmed that both parties had “reached an agreement” for the Egyptian forward to depart, marking the conclusion of a remarkable era.
Salah, 33, leaves as one of the club’s greatest-ever players, having scored 255 goals in 435 appearances. He currently sits third on Liverpool’s all-time goalscorers list, behind Ian Rush and Roger Hunt.
The club also noted that Salah chose to inform supporters early out of “respect and gratitude,” ensuring transparency about his future.
His departure will signal the end of a highly successful chapter, during which he played a pivotal role in Liverpool’s domestic and European triumphs.
