Islamic cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has reacted to reports of the death of Iranβs Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, describing him as βa lucky soulβ who died in jihad.
In a post shared on his Facebook page on Sunday, Gumi said Khamenei died βin jihad against killers of innocent children and women in Gaza and elsewhere.β
According to the cleric, Khameneiβs death would have far-reaching implications for the Muslim community, stating that his blood βwill fuel the change in the ummah.β
Gumi further praised the Iranian leader for what he described as steadfastness in the pursuit of justice, adding that Khamenei βstood firmly for justice and didnβt hide in bunkers.β
He also issued a veiled warning to those allegedly responsible for the killing, saying: βFor those who killed him or assisted in killing him, let us see what they will live to do in this world.β
Reports of Khameneiβs death have continued to generate widespread reactions across religious and political circles, particularly within the Muslim world.
