Osimhen, Sørloth Lead UEFA Champions League Team of the Week

European football governing body UEFA has named Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen in its Champions League Team of the Week following the conclusion of Wednesday’s Round of 16 playoff second-leg fixtures.

Osimhen earned the recognition after a commanding display for Galatasaray, where he played a decisive role in helping the Turkish champions seal qualification for the Champions League Round of 16.

The Nigerian striker was selected alongside Alexander SΓΈrloth, who delivered a sensational hat-trick for AtlΓ©tico Madrid in their emphatic victory over Club Brugge.

UEFA’s elite lineup also features several standout performers from across Europe, including midfield enforcer AurΓ©lien TchouamΓ©ni and dynamic wing-back Davide Zappacosta, both of whom impressed in their respective ties.
