APC Releases Fees for 2026 Congresses

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the approved schedule of fees for the purchase of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms ahead of its 2026 nationwide congresses and national convention.

According to the document signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, aspirants seeking elective party offices at the ward, local government, state, zonal and national levels are required to pay between ₦5,000 and ₦10 million, depending on the position.

At the ward level, aspirants are to pay ₦5,000 for Expression of Interest, while nomination forms range from ₦15,000 to ₦20,000. Local government chairmanship aspirants will pay ₦10,000 for Expression of Interest and ₦100,000 for nomination, with other offices attracting ₦50,000.

For state offices, Expression of Interest is pegged at ₦50,000, while nomination fees include ₦1 million for state chairman and ₦500,000 for other positions. Zonal offices attract ₦100,000 for Expression of Interest and ₦200,000 for nomination.

At the national level, Expression of Interest for all positions costs ₦100,000, while nomination fees stand at ₦10 million for national chairman, ₦7.5 million for deputy national chairman and national secretary, ₦5 million for other national offices, and ₦250,000 for NEC members.

The party noted that female aspirants, youths and persons with disabilities are to pay only for the Expression of Interest and 50 per cent of the prescribed nomination fees. It also stated that the sale and submission of forms will be conducted online after verification of payments.

However, the APC announced that Rivers State, alongside Ekiti, Osun states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is excluded from the ward, local government and state congresses, though the affected areas will participate in the election of delegates to the national convention.

The APC stated that all payments for the forms must be made directly into its designated bank accounts with Zenith Bank and the United Bank for Africa (UBA), as preparations continue for the party’s congresses and national convention.
