The Niger Delta Coalition for Tinubu (NDCT) has condemned claims that Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara denied a pro-Tinubu group the use of state facilities for an event in Port Harcourt, describing the allegations as βfalse, misleading, and self-serving.β
In a statement signed by its spokesman, Chief Ambassador Edamina Ogiri, the coalition said the claims by Ambassador Desmond Akawor, Rivers State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, are inconsistent and deliberately deceptive. The NDCT pointed out that the event was successfully held at Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, a state-owned institution, which contradicts assertions that access to state facilities was denied.
βThis single fact completely punctures Mr. Akaworβs narrative and exposes it for what it is: cheap propaganda,β the group said, accusing the organizers of attempting to malign the Governor and mislead the public. The coalition urged Akawor to desist from further falsehoods and inflammatory statements, emphasizing that Governor Fubara has consistently demonstrated openness, tolerance, and democratic maturity.
The NDCT reaffirmed its commitment to truth, responsible leadership, and constructive political engagement as it mobilizes support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubuβs re-election in 2027.
