Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has unveiled a comprehensive 10-day project commissioning programme, coming 81 days after his return to office following the suspension of emergency rule in the state.
The rollout begins on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, with the inauguration of the 27-kilometre AhoadaβOmoku Road extension, and will run through Tuesday, December 23, 2025, when a new Federal High Court complex will be commissioned in Port Harcourt.
Among the key projects slated for commissioning are the EgbedaβOmerelu Link Road, the Ikwerre RoadβIgwurutaβAirport Road, the flag-off of the BypassβAirportβTollgate Project, the Greater TAF City Housing Estate/Anniversary Celebration, and the IhuowoβIhuama Road and Ahoada-East Ring Road.
Also listed are the ObodhiβOzochi Road and Bridge straddling Ahoada-East and Ahoada-West LGAs, the Ogbakiri RoundaboutβOgbakiri Waterfront Road, the newly completed Ahoada Zonal Hospital, and the Permanent Secretariesβ Quarters in Elimgbu, Obio/Akpor LGA.
Briefing journalists on Monday, December 8, 2025, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba, said the events are designed to showcase the Fubara administrationβs βmodest but steadyβ achievements in repositioning Rivers Stateβs development trajectory.
According to him, the lineup underscores Governor Fubaraβs resolve to push forward with infrastructure renewal and service delivery despite the political headwinds of recent months.
