The victims β€” identified as Prince London, Azubuike Kelechukwu, Elizabeth Aniete, Onyebuchi Precious, and London Sampson β€” were reportedly kidnapped from their isolated residences by yet-to-be-identified cultists.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the rescue operation was carried out around 1:00 a.m. on December 4, 2025, at Rumudogo 2 Community.

She explained that the operation was executed by the Command’s Tactical Teams in collaboration with other security agencies and with the support of local community members. All five victims were safely recovered and have since been taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, assured residents that the Command is intensifying efforts to trace and apprehend the fleeing abductors to ensure they face the full weight of the law.

He called for continued public cooperation with security agencies, while reaffirming the Police Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property across the state.

β€œResidents should go about their lawful businesses without fear because their safety is our priority,” Adepoju said.
