The Rivers State Police Command has arrested two suspected cultists — a police corporal, Onwukwe Godswill, and UNIPORT student, Ifeanyi Israel — during a signing-out event at the University of Port Harcourt on September 26, 2025.

Recovered exhibits include three locally made pistols, live ammunition, cartridges, an axe, and machetes. Police say investigations are ongoing to uncover the suspects’ cult links and possible accomplices.

Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to flushing out criminals and urged residents to stay vigilant and report suspicious activities.
