The young lawyer, Peace Onyesom Udoka, who was abducted while returning from the Call to Bar ceremony in Abuja, has regained her freedom, fittingly on her birthday.

Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu confirmed her release, alongside that of her sister Gift Onyesom, via his verified Facebook page on Tuesday, noting they were freed at a village near Okpella after a tough journey.

Recall that Udoka, a graduate of the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, was kidnapped on September 27, 2025, while travelling from Abuja to Benin, sparking widespread concern among her colleagues, family, and the wider public.
