President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Dr. Grace Adayilo, who served as Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), following her recent passing.

The announcement was made by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike during Adayilo’s funeral at the National Ecumenical Centre in Abuja.

Minister Wike described Adayilo as a devoted, humble, and hardworking public servant, stressing that the employment directive serves to support her family now that they have lost their breadwinner.

Dr. Grace Adayilo’s death was widely viewed as a profound loss to the FCT Administration given her reputation for diligence and her emphasis on staff welfare, including ensuring timely payment of salaries and entitlements.

One of her children is reported to be currently participating in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Port Harcourt.

Specific roles or positions for the children within the civil service have not yet been disclosed.
