Ambassador Godknows-Boladei-Igali, veteran diplomat and scholar, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, delivered the maiden lecture of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs’ (NIIA) newly launched Foreign Policy Series.

The landmark event, which brought together diplomats, academics, civil servants, and sociocultural leaders including PANDEF and the Ijaw National Congress (INC), underscored the Institute’s renewed commitment to shaping Nigeria’s global outlook through robust dialogue.

Ambassador Igali described the experience as “indelible and humbling,” stressing the responsibility of strengthening Nigeria’s voice in international affairs amid a rapidly changing global order.

The lecture, which attracted both physical and virtual participants, featured stimulating contributions that enriched the discourse. National newspapers present at the event have pledged to serialize the lecture, ensuring its insights reach a wider audience and spark broader public debate on Nigeria’s foreign relations.
