A disturbing incident has emerged from Abakpa community in Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State, where children between the ages of 10 and 13 were apprehended for indulging in hard drugs.
The minors were reportedly punished after being caught in the act. When questioned on how they were able to finance their drug habit, the children disclosed that they worked as scavengers, picking scrap metals and selling them to raise money for the purchase of the illicit substances.
