EFCC Seals Ex-AGF Malami’s Abuja Residence Amid Probe

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday cordoned off a residence belonging to former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, in the Maitama district of Abuja.

The operatives, reportedly led by Folarin Dare, arrived at the property in a convoy of about five buses. Dressed in the commission’s distinctive red and black jackets and armed, they barricaded access routes leading to the residence.

The house, located at No. 2 Koranakh Close, off Amazon Street in Maitama, was effectively sealed off, with security personnel preventing entry into the premises.

Although the EFCC has yet to issue an official statement on the action, the move is believed to be linked to an ongoing investigation into alleged financial improprieties involving the former minister.

As of the time of filing this report, attempts to gain access to the property or obtain further details from the commission were unsuccessful.
